    Canoe Hire – Glasbury

This is the highest of our river Wye locations that we provide canoe hire from. Glasbury is a great location to start a short trip from Glasbury to Hay-on-Wye or two day trip from Glasbury to Preston-on-Wye (recommended route), stopping at Whitney on Wye for the night either camping or at the Boat Inn.

    Canoe Hire – Hay-on-Wye

Hay on Wye is another of our river Wye locations. It is a fantastic location to start a paddle down river from, especially a short trip from Hay-on-Wye to Whitney-on-Wye or a two day trip from Hay-on-Wye to Hereford (recommended route), stopping at Preston on Wye overnight.

    Canoe Hire – Whitney-on-Wye

We cannot start a trip from here due to access restrictions, however it makes the perfect location to finish a full or half day’s paddling. If you camp at Whitney-on-Wye overnight, then paddlers may launch again from the campsite in the morning.

    Canoe Hire – Preston-on-Wye

Preston-on-Wye is one of our most popular starting points to canoe and kayak from on the river Wye. It is easily accessible by car and this section of the river is beautiful. We highly recommend the 4 hour day trip from Preston-on-Wye to Hereford (recommended route).

    Canoe Hire – Hereford

Hereford is also one of our river Wye locations. It is a vibrant city with plenty of things to see and do. If you are looking to combine some paddling with some sightseeing then we would recommend incorporating Hereford in your trip. Our 4 hour trip from Preston-on-Wye to Hereford (recommended route) is perfect for this.

    Canoe Hire – Hoarwithy

Hoarwithy is a great place to either start or finish a river trip as there is easy access to the river as well as a campsite and great pub – the New Harp Inn. Our trip from Hereford to Hoarwithy is a popular route.

    Canoe Hire – Ross-on-Wye

Ross-on-Wye is a beautiful market town situated on the River Wye and close to the Forest of Dean. It is a fantastic location to canoe and kayak from with easy access to the water and two great pubs on the river. We would highly recommend a short trip from Ross-on-Wye to Kerne Bridge. For those wishing more of a challenge, we would suggest the two day trip from Ross-on-Wye to Monmouth (recommended route), staying at Symonds Yat overnight.

    Canoe Hire – Kerne Bridge

Kerne Bridge is one of our recommended river Wye locations. It is perfect if you wish to experience paddling down the river at Symonds Yat (a few miles downstream), famous for its tall cliffs, falcons and rapids. We recommend our one day river trip from Kerne Bridge to Monmouth.

    Canoe Hire – Symonds Yat

We do not have access to launch or land at Symonds Yat. However paddlers are more than welcome to land if they are eating at one of the pubs or have overnight accommodation booked. Symonds Yat is really worth visiting on a paddle along the River Wye. We would highly recommend our two day trip from Ross-on-Wye to Monmouth (recommended route) (staying at Symonds Yat overnight) or Kerne Bridge to Monmouth (day trip, passing through Symonds Yat on the way through).

    Canoe Hire – Monmouth

Monmouth is a lovely historic market down on the border with England and Wales. It is a fantastic place to start a canoe or kayak trip down the lower reaches of the Wye Valley. A day trip from Monmouth to Brockweir is often very popular.

    Canoe Hire – Brockweir

Brockweir is a very small village between Monmouth and Chepstow. This is one of our last landing points on the River Wye and we do not offer canoe or kayak hire from this point – only as a finish location.

    Canoe Hire – Chepstow

This is the last town on the River Wye before it joins the Severn Estury. The river is highly tidal here and for this reason we only allow groups to land this far down the river if they are with an instructor.
