River Wye Events

Below is a list of river Wye events

Hay Festival

One of the most famous river Wye events is the Hay Festival. For 27 years the Hay Festival has brought together writers from around the world to share stories and debate at its festival in the staggering beauty of the Welsh Borders. The Hay-on-Wye festival celebrates great writing from poets and scientists, lyricists and comedians, novelists and environmentalists, and the power of great ideas to transform our way of thinking.

Hereford River Carnival

The Hereford River Carnival is a fabulous day out for the whole family. The itinerary for the day includes dog shows, food stalls, assault courses, dance shows and much more.

Beer On The Wye

Held in the heart of Hereford each July, Beer On The Wye is a fantastic Beer and Cider festival. Run by Herefordshire’s CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), the festival can boast over 140 beers, plus 120 ciders and perries. The festival is held in a big top marquee, based on the banks of the Wye at Hereford Rowing Club. It is a friendly, welcoming festival which will not disappoint.

Visitors to the Beer Festival may enjoy half a day of canoeing or kayaking on the Wye. Return transport, included in the price, will bring you back to the Hereford so you can continue to enjoy the festival and the Beer. Canoe and Kayak Hire starts at just £20pp and includes all necessary kit and equipment. View accommodation in Hereford for River Wye Events here.
