    River Wye Accommodation – B&B’s, camping and hotels between Glasbury and Chepstow

    Below is a list of some of our suggested river wye accommodation – campsites and B&B’s we recommend paddlers staying at along the river Wye.

    The River Wye Bunkhouse is situated in Glasbury, right on the banks of the River Wye. It can sleep up to 27 guests, and has direct access to the river for canoeists and kayakers.

    The Boat Inn campsite is situated at Whitney-on-Wye, which is five mile below Hay-on-Wye. This campsite is next the Boat Inn pub and Pound B&B. The site has good facilities and excellent food. This campsite is often busy so booking well in advance is recommended.

    The Toll Bridge, Whitney on Wye. A lovely small campsite which welcomes canoeists just up from the Boat Inn pub.

    New Court Farm campsite is situated in Preston-on-Wye, just below Monington Falls. This is a rustic campsite that allows groups to have campfires. They even provide packs of wood for the occasion! There is a toilet but no showers, making this ideal for groups looking for a wild setting with lots of wildlife around.

    Hereford Campsite is situated next to the River Wye and only two minutes by foot from the city centre. This location has good facilities including parking, showers and a bar, with easy access to the river.

    The Green Dragon Hotel, Hereford. A great option for larger groups wishing to stay in Hereford. Recently refurbished, this hotel is a fabulous up-market option for those wanting to stay somewhere a bit special.

    Lucksall campsite is situated between Hereford and Hoarwithy. This is a great location for camping and they have excellent facilities with an on site shop.

    Hoarwithy campsite is a popular location that’s great for two day river trips between Hereford and Ross on Wye. This location has basic camping facilities and a great village pub that serves good food. The site allows campfires and can get busy so booking well in advance is recommended.

    Harthill Grange Bunkhouse, Hewelsfield. This bunkhouse sleeps up to 20 people, and welcomes activity groups. Alternative activities can also be arranged through the bunkhouse, including Archery, Orienteering and Mountain Biking, as well as Canoeing and Kayaking.
